Come and join our mission to build the Intelligent Procurement Platform.The RoleWe're hiring a Procurement Director to help our customers transform their SaaS buying and renewals, driving direct cost savings & efficiencies. You will own Vertice's procurement service delivery for the Mid Market segment in the United States, building a foundation of trust and robust action plans with key, strategic customers across this segment. We need an exceptional leader with the shared language and gravitas to work with finance & procurement Execs. Crucially though, this suits someone versatile with an owner's mindset.Here are some of the things you’ll be responsible for:Leadership & VisionDevelop and communicate a Mid Market Procurement vision and strategySet and track team & individual performance against Mid Market procurement goalsInspire and develop a high performance procurement function within the Mid Market segmentCustomer-CentricityDevelop personalised procurement strategies for Mid Market accountsCoach teams to identify and pursue high-impact procurement opportunitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to improve customer journey satisfactionDevelop specific procurement playbooks to keep consistency at scaleSourcing & Supplier ManagementDevelop and execute strategic sourcing plans and negotiate complex SaaS dealsManage key SaaS partner relationships, particularly for our largest spend areasImplement sourcing strategies, balancing innovation and best practiceLead cross-functional teams to implement effective SRM strategiesRequirementsThe role is based in the United States, with full ownership of the Mid Market segmentProfessional background in Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, Procurement, Vendor Management, or a related discipline in ConsultingStrong understanding of the SaaS business model and knowledge of the ecosystemPassionate about the value of great customer service – you seek and have consistently achieved extraordinary results as part of a high energy and dynamic team serving mid-sized customersYou are a clear, confident and compelling communicator - in writing, in conversation and in front of customersSuperb listening skills and the ability to dig deeper to uncover the customer's true objectivesYou are an expert project manager who can manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure all key objectives and timelines are metDemonstrated ability to conduct compelling presentations to senior customer stakeholdersFinal things to noteVertice is an equal opportunities employer, although you must be legally able to work in the specified region of the job.
