ELCCO fosters a collaborative environment that values expertise and teamwork. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kahului, HI for a Chief Estimator. The Chief Estimator will oversee and manage the estimation of electrical construction projects, including reviewing project plans, preparing cost estimates, analyzing labor and material requirements, and developing competitive bids. The role requires collaboration with project managers, suppliers, and clients, as well as leadership in guiding and mentoring the estimating team. The Chief Estimator will also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, costs, and best practices within the industry. Qualifications Proficiency in estimation, cost analysis, and budgeting for electrical construction projectsStrong leadership and team management skills to develop and motivate estimating teamsExperience with reviewing project specifications, blueprints, and technical plansProficient understanding of electrical systems, materials, and industry codesExcellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactionsProficiency with industry-specific software and tools, including estimation softwareBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimation or a similar roleAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with the electrical contracting industry on the islands is a plus
