Vice President, LENDER FINANCE, Business Development (NORTHEAST)Haversine is a specialty finance platform providing capital solutions to non-bank lenders, with a focus on factoring companies, asset-based lenders (ABL), and specialty commercial finance platforms. The firm originates, structures, and manages lender finance transactions across a range of collateral types and structures offering senior & junior lines of credit to finance companies, as well as participation programs and equity/growth capital. We are seeking a Business Development Officer position in the NORTHEAST to originate, develop, and close new lending relationships within this ecosystem. This is a senior, production-oriented role focused on driving new business volume and expanding Haversine’s market presence in the Northeast.Key ResponsibilitiesOrigination & Pipeline DevelopmentSource and originate new lending opportunities with non-bank lenders (factoring companies, ABL platforms, specialty finance firms)Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities through direct outreach and referral channelsDevelop and manage relationships with lenders, brokers, advisors, and other market participantsGenerate new business in line with company credit strategy and target returnsRelationship ManagementServe as the primary external relationship owner from initial contact through deal closingEstablish long-term partnerships with clients and referral sourcesRepresent Haversine at industry events, conferences, and meetingsDeal Structuring & ExecutionPerform initial screening of opportunities, including high-level analysis of credit, collateral, and structureWork closely with underwriting, credit, and legal teams to structure and execute transactionsLead transactions through the full lifecycle: sourcing → structuring → approval → closingAct as quarterback between client and internal teams to ensure efficient executionProduction & Market CoverageMeet or exceed individual production targets tied to new originations and portfolio growthMaintain accurate pipeline reporting and activity trackingProvide market feedback on competitive dynamics, pricing, and emerging opportunitiesQualificationsExperience10+ years of experience in ABL, factoring, or lender finance (preferred) business developmentDemonstrated track record of sourcing and closing transactionsExperience working with or lending to non-bank lenders strongly preferredTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of credit, collateral structures, and loan productsAbility to assess financial statements, borrowing bases, and transaction risk at a high levelFamiliarity with lender finance structures, participations, and secured lendingRelationshipsExisting network within factoring companies, ABL lenders, or specialty finance platforms strongly preferredEstablished industry referral relationships OtherHighly self-motivated and entrepreneurialStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsAbility to operate independently in a growth-oriented environmentWillingness to travel regularly within assigned territoryCompensationCompetitive base salaryPerformance-based commission tied to origination volume and portfolio growthAdditional NotesThis is a front-office origination role, not an underwriting or portfolio management positionThe role is focused on lending to lenders (factoring / ABL / specialty finance), not direct borrower lendingSeeking a team member addition located in the Northeast Success in this role is measured primarily by new business generation and closed transactions
