Bastrop, Texas (Onsite)$120,000-150,000 Base SalaryFull-Time, Direct-HireRelocation Assistance AvailableOverviewThis role focuses on controlling and optimizing manufacturing processes involving chemicals, fluids, gases, and environmental systems. The Process Controls Engineer ensures production processes run safely, consistently, and within tight operating limits using DCS and PLC-based control systems. Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain process control strategies for chemical and fluid systemsTune PID control loops (pressure, flow, temperature, level, chemistry)Support and improve DCS or PLC-based plant control systemsTroubleshoot process instability, alarms, and production issuesSupport commissioning and startup of new process systemsMonitor process performance through SCADA/HMI systemsWork closely with manufacturing, EHS, and facilities teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, etc.)Experience in a manufacturing or plant environmentHands-on experience with DCS or PLC-based process control systemsStrong understanding of continuous process control and PID tuningExperience with chemical, fluid, or gas systemsAbility to troubleshoot process issues in live production environments Preferred / Bonus SkillsExperience with DCS platforms (DeltaV, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Siemens PCS)Semiconductor, solar, chemical, oil & gas, or utilities backgroundExperience with wastewater, scrubbers, or environmental systemsSafety systems (SIS, interlocks, alarms)SCADA systems focused on process monitoringFamiliarity with hazardous materials and process safety constraints
