Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking talented and motivated Full Stack Software Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with the ability to design and implement robust, scalable applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs. US Citizenship required for this position; must be able to get a DoD secret clearance and willing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and technologies. Implement responsive user interfaces and user experiences across various devices. Back-End Development: Develop server-side logic, APIs, and database architectures to support application functionality. Ensure application performance, scalability, and security by writing efficient code and conducting code reviews. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Participate in or lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Testing and Debugging: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle. Complete Unit Testing using a framework such as JEST. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development. Provide input on architecture and technology choices to improve product performance and development processes. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Senior Engineer Candidates: Minimum of 9 years experience in full stack development, leadership experience a plus. Mid Level Engineer candidates: Minimum of 5 years in full stack development. In-depth experience in object-oriented application design and development in a multi-tiered environment. Experience designing and building systems that are maintainable, evolvable, and thoroughly tested. Proven experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js). Strong knowledge of back-end technologies (e.g., Go, Python, Node.js, Java, or .Rust) and database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) Documentation as part of the software lifecycle is required. Experience using CMMI standards with strong language skills is a plus. The fullstack engineers work closely with the System Engineering team. Experience with Linux administration and Docker is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Familiarity with Kubernetes would be nice to have. Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience or knowledge with JEST and/or Playwright would be a plus. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
