This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize asset availability. The role requires close collaboration with maintenance teams, operations, and engineering to plan preventive and corrective maintenance activities effectively. The Senior Maintenance Planner will analyze maintenance data and trends to improve planning processes and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this position ensures that maintenance resources are utilized efficiently to support operational goals and maintain safety and compliance standards.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical), Industrial Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance planning or a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and scheduling software.Strong understanding of maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and asset management principles.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Maintenance Planning or Asset Management (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP).Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.Familiarity with SAP PM or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations relevant to maintenance operations.Previous leadership or supervisory experience in maintenance planning.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all critical equipment and systems.Coordinate with maintenance technicians, operations personnel, and engineering teams to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks.Analyze equipment performance and maintenance history to identify opportunities for improved planning and reduced downtime.Manage work order prioritization and resource allocation to optimize maintenance workflow and minimize operational disruptions.Monitor maintenance KPIs and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance planning activities.Lead and participate in cross-functional meetings to align maintenance plans with production schedules and project timelines.Skills:The Senior Maintenance Planner uses technical skills to analyze equipment data and develop effective maintenance schedules that reduce downtime and extend asset life. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with diverse teams and ensuring alignment between maintenance and production goals. Organizational skills enable the planner to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks based on operational impact. Problem-solving abilities are applied daily to address unexpected maintenance challenges and optimize resource allocation. Additionally, proficiency with CMMS and ERP software supports accurate tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement of maintenance activities.Work Schedule & EnvironmentWorking a 28 days on 14 days off, up to 12 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, internet & cable tv programs. Cell service is available when using Wi-Fi.
