As part of the CRH Infrastructure Products business, we are leading the industry with innovative, sustainable solutions with a safety-first mindset.Job Summary: As an Extruder Operator at National Pipe and Plastics you'll be running a production line producing PVC pipe of varying specifications for water, sewer and commercial applications. National Pipe and Plastics puts the safety of its staff first and looks to ensure equipment is well maintained, housekeeping is kept to the highest standard, employees are fully engaged, and safety issues are addressed timeously. You'll have the opportunity to join our Safety and Culture committees that put "People Before Pipe". You will be fully trained to operate and maintain material feeders, extruders and downstream equipment. Together with your line team support, you'll be responsible for the quality and output of your line. We at National Pipe and Plastics take pride in the quality of the products we produce for our customers and are looking for motivated individuals to come join our winning team.Job Responsibilities:Check daily production schedule and count-sheets in the office for any special instructions or changesCheck and record machine speeds, regrind silo levels, and all other pertinent information on logs providedCheck color barrels and hoppers so they do not go emptyMake proper adjustments on extruders and associated equipment if necessaryFrequent monitoring of extruder back pressure, amps, screw and feeder speeds so that limits are not exceededFrequent monitoring of extruder heats zones and vacuum at ventCheck product appearance and make adjustments as necessaryAssist all machine tenders in solving any unusual problems and producing a quality productOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.Job Requirements:High School diploma or GEDMust communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, and colleaguesAt least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, construction, or related fieldAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Compensation:The hourly pay rate is $21 - $27/hrBonus opportunity401(k) plan / group retirement savings programShort-term and long-term disability benefitsLife insuranceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysWhat CRH Offers You:Highly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionCRH has a long and proud heritage.
