Generator Technician
*Key Responsibilities*:
· *Preventive Maintenance:* Perform scheduled maintenance including fluid/filter changes, cooling system flushes, belt replacements, and battery testing.
· *Load Testing:* Conduct comprehensive load bank testing to verify system capacity, transient response, and performance under peak facility loads.
· *System Diagnostics:* Troubleshoot complex AC/DC electrical circuits, digital control panels (Deep Sea, ComAp), electronic governors, and voltage regulators.
· *Engine Overhaul & Repair:* Diagnose and repair industrial internal combustion engines (diesel, natural gas, propane), fuel injection systems, and emissions equipment.
· *Switchgear & ATS:* Inspect, test, and service Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and paralleling distribution switchgear systems.
· *Emergency Response:* Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotating schedule to resolve emergency power outages and critical equipment failures.
· *Compliance & Safety:* Ensure all work strictly adheres to NFPA 110 standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), EPA regulations, and OSHA guidelines including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Pay: $9,000.00 per month
Experience:
* Commercial / Industrial Power Generator: 5 years (Required)
* Generator Technician: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
* EGSA (Electrical Generator Systems Association) Cerft (Required)
