Position Summary
BJE Professional Services is seeking candidates for a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) role to support residents at the Wheat Ridge Regional Center. The QMAP will be responsible for medication administration, resident care, safety oversight, documentation, and supporting therapeutic and daily living activities in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols.
Mandatory Requirements
QMAP certification/licensing required
Medical experience required
Mandatory 3-week training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Must pass Colorado Department of Human Services background check and fingerprinting
Submission must include candidate’s preferred days and shift times
Roles & ResponsibilitiesShift & Documentation Duties
Complete proper cross-shift reports (oral and written)
Maintain daily communication logs
Complete 15-minute check forms where applicable, with appropriate reasoning
Review/sign program books, medical protocols, rights restrictions, SCP, privacy guidelines, telephone logs, etc.
Maintain visitor log
Conduct COVID‑19 screening
Check and organize staff mail folders
Check email daily during downtime
Review/sign "Me Book" weekly
Complete Cornerstone training weekly
Resident Care & Daily Living Support
Ensure resident safety, active treatment, and ISSP implementation
Assist with and encourage resident participation in:
ADLs (hygiene, grooming, toileting)
Chores
Cooking and mealtime engagement
Activities and social interactions
Follow dietary sheets, provide alternate meal choices, and encourage family-style dining (per dietician guidance and COVID rules)
Perform appropriate peri-care and attend changes for all genders
Provide proper bathing, showering, drying, haircare, shaving, nail care, and oral hygiene
Document refusals, behavioral issues, and incidents appropriately
Disinfect bathing/shower spaces (chairs, floors) between uses
Notify nursing immediately of any skin integrity issues
Ensure weather-appropriate and well-presented clothing (matching outfits, hairstyles, makeup if desired)
Household, Facility & Administrative Support
Assist with cleaning common areas, kitchens, bedrooms, laundry rooms, closets, and dressers
Dispose of trash and laundry properly (attends are not to be left in trash cans)
Support outings, shopping, and receipt signing; ensure PRC cell phone is taken during outings
Report maintenance issues and document them
Submit special work orders to RC
Pick up and drop off house mail
Attend and support medical appointments with residents
Assist with group leader duties and assigned household areas
Put away groceries and warehouse supplies
Inventory & Resident Property Management
Maintain accurate resident inventory
Mark clothing with resident initials
Add new items and conduct quarterly inventory reviews
Follow proper procedures for discarding resident items
Pay: $26.50 per hour
