Specialty Manufacturing is looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team! The Engineering Technician will work closely with our Design Engineers, Production team, and Continuous Improvement team in product testing and validations. He/She will assist in the overall manufacturing effectiveness and product conformities. If you are a self-driven, career learner, come join our team!Essential Job ResponsibilitiesPrepares test results and analyses that is effective and accurate.Creates and revises reports and documentation using spreadsheets, graphs, and test reports.Supports manufacturing activities by helping to generate processes & procedures that are reliable, repeatable, cost effective and in a timely basis per planned schedules.Works with minimal supervision on assignments that are moderately complex.Develops, with Director of Engineering, priorities, plans, and schedules for timely execution of tasks.Designs and validate mechanical testing fixtures required for product testing.Coordinates multiple assignments according to appropriate priority.Becomes familiar with and maintains an awareness of Company products and goals.Maintains effective communication and effective working relationships with fellow employees.Any other duties reasonably similar and related as assigned by management.Required QualificationsEducation:Two-year degree in mechanical, engineering, industrial or similar technology highly preferredHigh school diploma with commensurate experienceExperience:Three to ten years of experience with mechanical equipment.Knowledge/Skills:Understanding basic design principles (machine design, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics).Thorough understanding of design drawings.Thorough understanding of basic measurement equipment and mechanical apptitudeAwareness and some understanding of SPC, DOE, FMEA & SPC.Good troubleshooting skills.Effective utilization of Microsoft Excel & Word and manufacturing enterprise software.Use of CAD (Solid Works) a plus.Self-driven with passion for problem solvingGood analytical and communication skills.Physical Requirements:Works in test lab, office, machining, and manufacturing environment.Lifting (up to 25 pounds), walk, stand, reach and bend.
