Engineering Manager, Precision Aerospace Manufacturing (Arcadia)

This Engineering Manager will be a critical aerospace manufacturing leader responsible for stabilizing, developing, and leading an engineering-focused department that serves as the operational engine of this established precision aerospace manufacturer. This individual will partner directly with the GM, internal manufacturing teams, and aerospace customers to improve engineering execution, manufacturing performance, and long-term operational capability.This is a hands-on steady state leadership role requiring the right balance of technical aerospace manufacturing credibility and strong people leadership. The ideal individual will know how to drive accountability, coach teams, improve engineering discipline, and influence change in a collaborative environment without forcing unnecessary disruption.The company has achieved steady long-term growth, serves major aerospace customers, and offers a stable family-oriented culture with a strong benefits package. This is not a high-pressure corporate environment, but leadership does expect measurable improvement in engineering effectiveness, customer execution, and process discipline.Responsibilities:Lead and develop a 15–20 person engineering-related team including engineers, quoting personnel, tool & die resources, and technical staff supporting aerospace manufacturing execution.Drive accountability, mentorship, and leadership development within an underdeveloped but critical engineering department.Partner directly with the GM to strengthen aerospace technical decision-making, customer interactions, and internal engineering execution.Serve as a customer-facing engineering leader supporting aerospace OEM relationships, delivery discussions, manufacturing execution, and long-term growth opportunities.Drive process improvement initiatives related to quoting accuracy, manufacturing cycle times, engineering execution, floor engagement, and production efficiency.Increase engineering team visibility on the manufacturing floor, strengthening collaboration between engineering and operations teams.Help stabilize and advance ongoing initiatives tied to engineering rigor, manufacturing process improvement, machine capability advancement, and long-term scalability.Support a collaborative, team-driven culture where leadership is built through communication, coaching, and credibility.Ideal Background:Engineering leadership experience within aerospace manufacturing is required.Strong precision machining / CNC manufacturing exposure within aerospace environments strongly preferred.Experience supporting major aerospace OEMs such as GE Aerospace, Siemens, Pratt & Whitney, or Rolls-Royce highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, coach developing personnel, and improve engineering accountability.Strong customer-facing communication skills in aerospace manufacturing environments.Experience within AS9100 / NADCAP regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred.Manufacturing engineering, process engineering, quoting improvement, or production engineering leadership background highly valuable.Collaborative leadership style required; must fit a family-oriented, team-driven organization rather than a rigid corporate command-and-control culture.What This Role Is Not:Not a rapid transformation / slash-and-burn turnaround environment.
