Industrial Electrician
Job Description
Maintain, install, and repair equipment, electrical and electronic systems and facility electrical systems. Responsibilities:Utilize electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gaugesPerform analog and digital circuit design by utilizing microprocessor hardware and software configurationsUse Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) including basic and ladder logic to read/write basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints in order to diagnosis problemsLead electrical or electronic projects requiring installation or upgradeConnects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipmentDiagnose and repair complex machine and electrical and electronic problems including non-routine electrical issues such as power qualityAssemble component electrical parts per specifications and perform bench testing before installationRead, understand, interpret, draw and update electrical schematics and drawingsPlan layout of wiring and install conduit, wiring and ancillary electrical equipmentInstall power supply wiring and conduit and troubleshoot issues as they ariseConduct root cause analysis and make recommendationsLead process improvement initiatives and/or cross functional team projectsApply advanced, complex troubleshootingCore Skills and Qualifications:Five years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or trainingHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to read, write, interpret and draw wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and analytical diagnosis of problemsThorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)Expert knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gaugesAdvanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentationAdvanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problemsAbility to make changes to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using advanced ladder logic, read/write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints, and analytical diagnosis of problems
