Job DescriptionCertification DetailsBLSACLSJob DetailsTravel ICU RN position at Carlsbad Medical Center, part of Community Health Systems.Start date: ASAP.Duration: 13 weeks.Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, floating required.Role involves ICU patient total care including ventilators, titratable drips, and hygiene care.Floating to ER and Med Surg departments required.Experience with vents, titratable drips, mixing medications, and patient hygiene preferred.Job Requirements2+ years ICU experience required.ER and Med Surg experience required.TNCC preferred.Schedule InformationShift: Nights, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.36 hours per week.No call required.Holidays required.Blocked scheduling may be accommodated but must be included in the body of submittal.Unit Specific InformationICU unit with 12 beds.Patient ratio 1:2-3.Floating to ER and Med Surg departments required.Scope includes ventilators, titratable drips, and hygiene care.Additional DetailsFingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers; agencies must be registered with the state of New Mexico due to fingerprint process duration.Number of beds in unit: 12.Patient ratio: 1:2-3.EMR system: MedHost.Scrub color: Any.Floating details: Float log maintained in ICU; float rotation followed with possible overrides by house supervisor or director.When floating to ER, nurses assist with call lights, medication passing, transport, IV starts, blood draws, and general nursing tasks without taking patient assignments.When floating to Med Surg, nurses may take a full assignment of up to 6 patients or act as an aide for up to 12 patients.
