As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. Responsibilities Process payroll for employees in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain employee payroll records, including deductions, bonuses, and overtime, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, providing exceptional customer service. Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate and seamless onboarding and offboarding processes for employees. Prepare and submit payroll reports and reconciliations as required. Assist with payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or work experience equivalent. Proven experience working in payroll administration, preferably in the retail industry. Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Proficient in using payroll software (Paychex) (ADP) and MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
