The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPIs and insurance metrics are met. They coach and empower each team member to achieve performance and success. The General Manager promotes the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers and leads by example at all times.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) planPrepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision centerForecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectivesDeliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviewsMonitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision CenterMaintain a clean and organized repair facility at all timesMonitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress codeOpen and close the facility daily as per established proceduresConduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery datesManage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards and manage store capacityLead and manage all repair facility personnelFacilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings; attend monthly managers meetingsAttend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership TeamStore CSI performance review and follow up within 24 hoursEducation and/or Experience RequiredPost-Secondary Education or equivalentProven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar roleRequired Skills/AbilitiesAttention to detail and a high degree of accuracyAbility to consistently demonstrate a successful client experienceCommunicate clearly both verbally and in writingAbility to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skillsBenefits That Drive Your SuccessAnnual Paid Time Off (PTO) plans2 weeks of paid parental leave for full-time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week6 paid holidays annuallyMedical, prescription drug, dental & vision insurance effective Day 1401(k) retirement plan with company matchEmployer-paid short-term disability & life insuranceAdditional voluntary life insuranceContinuing education opportunitiesFree prescription/non-prescription safety glasses annuallyAnnual voluntary uniform stipendGerber Collision & Glass is a proud equal-opportunity employer.
