General Description of the job
KEEP is an evidence-based support and skill enhancement program for foster and kinship parents of children ages 2-3 (KEEP Toddler), 4-12 (KEEP Standard), and teens (KEEP SAFE). The Bilingual KEEP Group Leader leads 16-week groups in English and Spanish that take place online via videoconference. Each weekly session is 90 minutes and is a blend of peer-support and manualized curriculum. All KEEP sessions are recorded for model fidelity and coaching support. Prior to running the groups, KEEP Group Leaders will participate in a 5-day training on the KEEP model with trainers from Oregon Social Learning Center Developments, Inc. (ODI). The KEEP Group Leader will be responsible for communicating with participating families prior to and during KEEP groups, facilitating evening KEEP group sessions in English and Spanish, attending weekly coaching with ODI, and completing project data entry promptly and accurately.
Equipment such as a laptop may be provided, although the employee is expected to maintain adequate Internet and Wi-Fi equipment suitable to Remote Desktop connect via VPN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Attends KEEP trainings, including mandatory training October 21st-25th 9am-1pm
Works with the KEEP recruiter to schedule KEEP groups (sometimes multiple concurrent groups at once, depending on program needs)
Engages participants post-recruitment prior to KEEP group start
Runs KEEP group sessions for foster and kinship parents (90-minute weekly sessions) in English and Spanish and make-up sessions
Completes the weekly Parent Daily Report (PDR) phone call with each household and enters PDR data into the fidelity website (FIDO)
Prepares for each session by reviewing the manual material, coaching feedback, and the group’s PDRs.
Sets up the Zoom meeting prior to foster/kinship parents’ arrival, e.g., setting the video to record, having handouts available for Zoom presentation
Sends reminder email to participants each week before session
Uploads all KEEP session videos to FIDO immediately after each session
Enters session data into FIDO (attendance, engagement ratings, self-evaluation) immediately after each session
Prepares for and attends weekly KEEP coaching and clinical meetings

Qualifications and Experience
BA/BS degree with coursework appropriate to the position and 2-years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience appropriate to the position
Experience working with populations with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Skilled with the use of computers and other modern office equipment
Detail oriented with a high level of attention to detail
Willingness to role-play, try new skills, and be receptive to feedback
Prior group facilitation experience
Experience delivering an evidence-based practice
Knowledge of the child welfare system, especially foster care, preferred
Experience and comfort with virtual meeting technology preferred

Must be an active listener
Must follow a manualized curriculum
Must type or otherwise input data into a computer
May need to sit for periods of time (3-4 hours)
Proficient in interpreting both spoken and written communication in English and Spanish

Standards/Expectations for person performing the job.
After completion of training period employee must deliver KEEP groups according to model fidelity. These standards will be discussed during the training period
This position requires 5-15 hours per week according to a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends and evenings. KEEP group schedule varies according to the availability of the participants
Must also be available to participate in at least weekly check-ins with supervisor, coach, and team meetings
Must demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and dependability in daily work habits
Must exercise good judgement, effective problem-solving strategies, and appropriate interpersonal skills in various settings
