A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Hayward, CA, offering a contract role designed to make an impactful difference in the lives of students with autism. This role supports a K-12 population, providing specialized speech and language services for approximately 25-30 students.Key Responsibilities:Provide speech-language pathology services to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorderDevelop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' communication needsCollaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and administration to support student progressMonitor and document student outcomes consistently to meet school and state requirementsParticipate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school cultureQualifications and Desired Experience:Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language PathologyExperience working as an SLP in healthcare and school settingsFamiliarity with evidence-based practices for supporting students with autismStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staffAbility to manage a caseload of around 25-30 students efficientlySchedule and Work Environment:Contract position aligning with the school calendar, totaling 213 school days remainingStandard work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMOne remote workday per monthSupportive school culture featuring experienced leadership; both principal and vice principal have teaching backgrounds and provide excellent supportThis role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise in speech-language pathology within a collaborative and nurturing educational environment focused on students with autism.
