The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to work across a variety of critical business domains, including coordination with the NFL league office and other clubs, and report to the Director of Information Security, Risk, and Compliance.The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for protecting, implementing, and monitoring the overall security posture of the organization. This role operates across multiple cybersecurity disciplines, including threat hunting, vulnerability management, red and blue team activities, and security operations, and contributes to security design and architecture efforts.The Cybersecurity Engineer participates in disaster recovery and cyber recovery activities and serves as a key contributor to incident response efforts. This is a hands-on, technical cybersecurity role that works through complex security scenarios across a diverse audience and provides detailed technical security support to peers and business stakeholders.This is a full-time position working from our main offices at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. The successful candidate will embody the Colts core values in support of the team's mission to entertain, inspire and unite by winning the right way.HIRING MANAGERDirector, Information Security, Risk, and ComplianceRESPONSIBILITIESManage and deploy all required security training to the user baseLead organizational responses to security audits and risk assessmentsReview and resolve security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and lead remediation effortsManage security testing and vulnerability management across multiple technical environmentsApply cybersecurity best practices using established frameworks and methodologies (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10, etc.)Lead third-party penetration testing engagements, including remediation planning and executionAssist with compliance efforts focused on PCI-DSS and HIPAA frameworks and certificationsDemonstrate expertise in security and information system lifecycle methodologies, including remediation of cybersecurity issues and audit risk mitigation activitiesMaintain knowledge of, and advise on, appropriate security tools, software, threat hunting techniques, and systems to support a best-in-class security postureStay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniquesCommunicate security alerts, advisories, and relevant risk information to the organizationBuild and maintain relationships with security colleagues at Lucas Oil Stadium, NFL league office, and other clubsApply strategic and tactical thinking with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindsetDemonstrate effective decision-making skills and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentWork in a calm, organized, and efficient manner while managing tight deadlinesEmbody trustworthiness, act with integrity, and lead by exampleQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science, MIS or related field is preferred.
