Our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of our communities as a leader in clinical laboratory solutions.This position is:Location: Las Vegas, NevadaStatus: Full-timeShift: 1stBenefit EligibleThe Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for collection and preparation of samples for pre-clinical research.Essential Key Responsibilities:Become proficient in the identification, retrieval, processing and data collection associated with archived biological samples for research that meet project specifications.Maintain accurate records and proper documentation of project activities associated with all assigned studies.Develop competency in properly de-identifing study samples and become knowledgeable in the appropriate transfer of study data in compliance with all federal regulations and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines.Gain and apply expertise in the interpretation and transcription of complex medical terminology associated with research biospecimen annotations.Adhere to all relevant protocols and guidelines for sample handling, storage, and shipping of biological samplesComplete annual training programs within the required timeframeMaintain strictest confidentialityComply with all state, federal, professional regulations as well as company and departmental rules, polices, and procedural manualsAdhere to HIPAA, Safety and OSHA RegulationsPerform other duties as assigned Education:Bachelor's Degree required, BA/BS science-related degree preferred Experience:Experience working in laboratory or industry related fieldsExperience working in pathology laboratories desiredExperience working in regulated environments with biological samples and processing Requirements: A valid state driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)Must have personal and reliable transportationProof of current vehicle registration and personal automobile insuranceExcellent verbal and written communications skillsExperience with patient interactionKnowledge of basic medical terminologyAbility to understand and abide by Food & Drug Administration: Good Clinical Practice GuidelinesEquipment: General office equipment including but not limited to personal computers, fax machines, copiers, and printersProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and ExcelMust have personal and reliable transportationWe'll give you:Appreciation for your workA feeling of satisfaction that you've helped peopleOpportunity to grow within the organizationFree lab services for you and your eligible dependentsWork-life balance, including Paid Time Off and Paid HolidaysCompetitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insuranceHelp saving for retirement, with a 401(k) that includes a generous company matchA sense of belonging - we are a community!We also want you to know:This role will have incidental exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI).
