OFFICE MANAGER FOR INTERNAL MEDICINE PRACTICEALPHA MEDICAL CENTER(Located 14 minutes from downtown Dallas)We are looking for an honest, hardworking, organized, dependable and punctual individual to manage our internal medicine practice.Overview:Founded in 2003, Alpha Medical Center was established with a goal of providing comprehensive and quality primary care with compassion and convenience to our surrounding communities. Alpha Medical Center is a one stop shop for all basic healthcare needs, where our area of focus is not only primary care/internal medicine, but we also have an inhouse lab, x-ray, echocardiograms, ultrasounds, opioid dependency, medical weight management, just to name a few of the services we offer.DIRECT HIRE ONLY: We do not accept solicitations from staffing agencies or RCM companies. Remote and hybrid applications will not be considered.CONTACT: NO DIRECT PHONE CALLS to the office, Please.Benefits:401k401k MatchingMedical, vision, and dental insurancePaid time offProfit sharingJob duties/responsibilitiesOversight of Staff:Supervision and management of billing and collections department and front office department, Personnel scheduling, Staff recruitment and training as needed, Reviewing time-off requests, Work with supervisors regarding their staffing concerns, Counseling of staff as neededAccounts Receivable:Oversee posting of charges, payments & adjustments, Reviewing all incoming mail and deposit of mail receipts, Post deposits to QuickBooks, Review daily reports generated by staff, then forward to doctor, Research patient refunds thoroughly and generate refunds, Prepare weekly and monthly reports for doctor as neededAccounts payable:Prepare payables reports sorted by payment sources, Verify all payables (i. e. packing slip comparison to invoice), Match invoices with billing statements to verity amount due, Timely payments by check or credit card with appropriate bookkeeping through quickbooks, Responsible for petty cashManaged Care Contracts:Evaluate new and current contracts, Maintain working relationship with plans' provider representatives, Keep up-to-date with plans' policy guidelines, Share fee schedule changes/updates with staff, Oversee chart reviews, Prepare for site reviews, Credentialing for direct managed care contractsPayroll/Personnel records:Maintain staff time sheets (incl PTO), Generate biweekly payroll through ADP, generate monthly insurance premiums invoice through ADP, Managing health insurance group plan enrollments/changes, Provide financial representative with needed informationAccounting:Post deposits and debits through quickbooks, Credit card transactions sorted, Generate reports and pay payroll taxes as directed by CPA, Pay quarterly taxes and mail signed documents as directed by CPAScheduling:Set up/revise template assignments and appointment types in EMR, Note meetings and events in EMR and with provider and staff, Note staff schedule changes with staffPractice representation:Maintain working relationship with outside entities (i. e. Vendors, ACO groups, hospital, Insurance companies, etc), Attend Healthcare Plan meetings and participate in webinars as needed, Communicate with other medical offices, Interact with Lab and other ancillary services as neededPurchasing:Order office and medical supplies as needed,Office Maintenance:Communicate housekeeping needs to janitorial service, Maintenance of Medical equipment, computer and office repairs orders as necessaryPrivacy and Security Officer and Compliance Officer:Compliance for HIPAA and other regulatory mandates, Overseeing appropriate release of medical informationPermits, Licenses, Insurance, Memberships:Monitoring expiration and Renewal of physician's medical license, DEA, DPS, malpractice insurance, Memberships, CLIA permit, and Business insurance coverage as requiredOther:Covering as maybe needed at other positions such as front office, Tasks as assigned by doctorJob type: Full timeMedical Specialty: Primary CareSalary: $60,000- $65,000 based on experienceSchedule: Monday- FridayExperience/Education:Minimum of associates degreeMedical practice management: at least 2 years preferably in a private practice settingExperience with electronic medical records preferably E-clinical WorksExperience with quickbooks (REQUIRED) and Excel spreadsheetsKnowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization, and account receivableWork Location: In person only
