Hi-Lo Driver - Novi, Michigan Contract position through middle November 2026 Day Shift - Pay Rate: up to $22.00/hour Job Summary of the Hi-Lo Driver position: The Hi-Lo Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts (hi-lo equipment) to move, load, unload, and organize automotive parts and materials within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role supports production by ensuring timely material flow and maintaining inventory accuracy while adhering to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities of the Hi-Lo Driver:Operate hi-lo/forklift equipment to transport materials, components, and finished goodsLoad and unload trucks, trailers, and containers in a safe and efficient mannerSupply production lines with required automotive parts and remove finished goodsStack and store materials is designated warehouse or staging areasConduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issuesFollow all safety regulations, including OSHA and company safety protocolsMaintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle countsUse RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track materialsEnsure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of automotive componentsKeep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards (5S standards)Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as needed Required Skills of the Hi-Lo Driver:Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentExperience in the automotive or supply chain operations (preferred)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsBasic math and inventory tracking skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Required Education/Experience of the Hi-Lo Driver:High School Diploma or GED (preferred)Valid forklift/Hi-Lo certification A successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.
