About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Office Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, with particular focus on subcontractor and prime contractor coordination, paperwork management, compliance with state regulations, and experience in estimating and bidding processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily subcontractor and prime contractor coordination and associated paperwork
Ensure timely completion of all project-related documentation
Oversee project timelines and meet deadlines consistently
Handle safety paperwork and maintain compliance with industry standards
Manage timecards and project costing to ensure accurate financial tracking
Coordinate with the Montana Department of Transportation's EPM on state work projects
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success
Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in estimating and bidding processes for new projects
Prepare cost estimates and bid proposals for potential projects
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or as an assistant project manager in the heavy civil construction industry
Proven experience with subcontractor and prime contractor management
Familiarity with Montana Department of Transportation regulations and procedures
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and documentation requirements in construction
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Experience with estimating and bidding processes in the heavy civil construction industry
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated ability to manage complex paperwork and documentation processes
Experience with project costing and budget management
Proficiency in creating and maintaining project schedules
Knowledge of construction contract administration
Familiarity with change order processes and negotiations
Experience with quality control and quality assurance procedures
Understanding of environmental compliance requirements in construction projects
Proven track record in preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive bid proposals
Ability to analyze project specifications and translate them into detailed cost breakdowns
