As our newest Traffic Engineer, you'll become part of our employee-owned organization where your creativity and expertise will shape the pathways of tomorrow.B&N Traffic Engineer ResponsibilitiesIndependently facilitate day-today production of traffic design (signing and pavement markings, signal, lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems – ITS), and traffic studiesWork collaboratively with project and design team to develop and prepare project deliverables to meet project objectives, schedule, and budgetWork as part of a project team, collaborating with industry leaders in transportationEngage with the transportation industry in various ways, such as professional organizations, to build strategic business development relationships and identify marketing opportunitiesDevelop engineering skills including traffic design tasks, traffic analysis, and technical skills with future potential opportunities for project management and business development Experience with report writingSkills & QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited civil engineering program4+ years of related traffic engineering design or analysisEngineer-in-Training required, ability to obtain PE registration in the state of Arizona preferredStrong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systemsProficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Microstation or AutoCAD as well as traffic software such as SynchroExperience in preparing traffic studiesStrong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environmentSelf-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration toolsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
