About the Role:Total Secure Technology is hiring both Student Technicians and Helpdesk Level 1 Technicians to join our Service Desk team. Keep in mind, these are entry-level help desk positions—great for someone who’s customer-focused, eager to learn, and excited to build real-world IT experience supporting a variety of technologies and clients. The main difference between our Student Techs and Level 1 Techs are their work experience. We do a phone screening to evaluate technical aptitude early on in our hiring process.You’ll be part of our day-to-day support operations: responding to tickets, helping troubleshoot common issues, keeping clear documentation, and learning how a professional IT service desk runs.What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day):Respond to incoming calls, emails, and ticket portal requests with professionalism and urgencyTroubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues, escalating when neededReview, assess, and prioritize service requests and tasksCommunicate clearly with customers—provide updates, confirm resolution, and ensure a great support experienceDocument work performed, track time/expenses, and keep tickets updated in our ticketing/PSA systemParticipate in team meetings and collaborate closely with the Service Desk CoordinatorGain exposure (with guidance) to areas like networks, remote access, and common business toolsWhat We’re Looking For:This role is entry-level, so we’re not expecting you to know everything. We’re looking for someone who’s dependable, communicates well, and wants to grow.You’ll do well if you have:Strong customer service skills and clear written/verbal communicationAbility to follow processes, stay organized, and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentComfort learning common tools like Microsoft Office and Windows/macOS basics (training provided)A growth mindset—willingness to develop professionally and take feedback well1+ year of customer service or experience following procedures (helpful, not required)Nice to have (not required):Basic familiarity with antivirus tools, networking concepts, VPN/remote access, or ticketing systemsAny relevant certification or coursework in IT/software/device setupWork Environment & Schedule:Professional office environmentWork uniform requiredRotating after-hours on-call / issue response may be requiredStarting Wages:Student Technician: $20-$23/HrHelpdesk Level 1: $24-$27/HrGrowth Opportunity:This role is designed to build a foundation for an IT career.
