Beginner to Intermediate CNC CAM Programmer

Evolve Engineering and Software is looking to hire a CNC CAM Programmer. We’re growing rapidly and are moving quickly to hire qualified candidates. Our ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks (4+ years) and CAM programming (SolidCAM and/or MasterCAM). Any experience with programming 5-axis mills is beneficial and will be compensated appropriately. We are looking to start using MasterCAM because we just purchased our first 5-axis mill and we feel Solidcam lacks for higher level machine functionality. If you have experience in the optics industry or CAD designing that is more of a plus. It will be mostly CNC CAMing work though. We have had good luck training new Mechanical Engineering Grads with no CAM experience to fit into this role. We would consider this applicant as well, providing they are will to work within the pay range. This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Our hours are flexible as long as you’re here during core hours, 10am – 3pm. You will: - Showcase excellence in SolidWorks for designing and CAM programming - Program parts from prints or models using SolidCAM - Issue parts to machine operators using run sheets - Practice excellent written and verbal communication to ensure parts run smoothly - Observe machines running to ensure programmed rates are as expected - Strive to produce extremely precise parts for our customers with minimal waste Our pay structure is dependent on your experience level. More experienced = higher starting pay rate. Our pay range for this position is $19 - $33/hr depending on experience. We are a growing engineering, software, and machining company, so experience in mechanical engineering, software engineering, etc is a plus and will be compensated thusly. When the shop is running well with minimal part waste, we offer quarterly bonuses as well. It’s essential that our ideal candidate be open-minded.
