Water/Wastewater Project Manager

JMT is currently ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.Position summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects including; scope, schedule and budget.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesMonitors schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements and prepares invoices.Develop Project Management plans for assigned projectsEstablish project pricing and budgetsCreate and maintain project schedulesDevelop and maintain project specific quality plansDevelop and coordinate project scopeManage subconsultantsParticipate in client presentationsOversee and manage assigned staff working on projectManage all technical resources on the project teamDevelopment of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposalsCoordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposalsProviding coaching and mentorship to the project team through one-on-one check-in meetings and various project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learnedLead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of teamsNonessential Functions And ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering programProfessional Engineer License10+ years’ experience in Water/Wastewater project design and managementProficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong Communication SkillsStrong Presentation SkillsPreferred ExperienceCAPM or PMPExperience working with local clients at the county and state levelProject management and business development experienceExperience with multiple project delivery methods i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3Experience managing multidiscipline project teamsWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
