Job DescriptionCommercial Loan Officer SUMMARY: A local banking branch is looking for someone that is self-motivated and a background in commercial lending experience. The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring and the closing of commercial loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio.If you're a Commercial Loan Officer looking to take that next step, this is for you!Commercial Loan Officer RESPONSIBILITIES:The Commercial Loan Officer evaluates needs of potential clients and offer appropriate financial products, services, and loansPromote and cross-sell other products and services as appropriate to client requirementsProvide ongoing relationship servicing with current clients to maintain goodwill and gain additional businessGenerate new business to meet annual growth goalsPrepare and compile client information to open new accountsGather and analyze financial data to assist in determining the credit worthiness of potential clients for risk and underwriting purposesPrepare loan memos and documents to submit for loan approvalEnsure completeness and accuracy of loan documentationCommercial Loan Officer QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in related field or financial services preferredExperience working directly with customers at all levels, from support staff to business owners and managersExcellent communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by previous experience interacting with decision makers and influencersAbility to prepare/coordinate proposals, review proposals for accuracy and work productively through the underwriting processAbility to stay organized and multi-taskI work with banks in Iowa and across the Midwest helping them find top talent to fill open positions.
