License is a MUST HAVEJob Summary: Client is seeking a is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with ten or more years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. The successful individual will work closely with our business development team and other discipline leaders in developing technical proposals and will take a proactive role in marketing/business development. This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. This candidate will be working directly with clients providing consulting services. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of steel, concrete, and masonry commercial/institutional, federal and Industrial buildings, both in new and existing construction, utility infrastructure, roadways, erosion control measures and coordinating multifaceted projects. We are seeking innovative, results-oriented individuals who value high standards of performance and collaborative teamwork.QualificationsB.S. degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program required.Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).10 or more years of structural engineering experience.Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems (such as RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, RamSS, Etabs, Enercalc, etc.).Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.Project Management experience and/or certifications.Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams.ResponsibilitiesPerform the following functions:Structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & industrial projectsDesign of steel, concrete, and masonry commercial/institutional, federal and Industrial buildings, both in new and existing constructionDesign experience with light gage steel and timber is a plusStrong ability to interpret technical drawingsLead design team effortsManage project team for budget and schedule controlDevelop fee and qualification-based proposalsCollaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts.
