Shipping and Receiving Associate

SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our logistics and operations team. This position plays a critical role in the movement of goods between our warehouse and retail locations. The ideal candidate is proactive, physically capable, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where accuracy and teamwork matter.DutiesKey Responsibilities:Transfers & Transportation:Drive or assist with driving the company transfer truck between warehouse and store locations.Load outgoing transfers by physically pulling items from stores and preparing them for transport.Unload incoming transfers from stores and receive the inventory properly.Tag and allocate transfers appropriately—designated for Sales, Service, or E-commerce.Ensure accurate and efficient handling of all items during loading and unloading.Receiving:Assist with unloading incoming UPS, FedEx, and freight deliveries.Sort and place boxes in the correct designated areas within each store.Receive items into inventory—separating special orders from general stock.Receive bicycles and properly rack them on designated bike racks (including second and third levels).Miscellaneous Duties:Demonstrate self-motivation and attention to detail in all daily tasks.Follow operational procedures and company guidelines.Maintain a willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.Exhibit a supportive, solution-oriented attitude with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving.RequirementsJob Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; occasional handling of e-bikes up to 100 lbs.Capable of racking bikes on second and third levels of pallet racks (requiring moderate to heavy physical exertion).Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.Must be able to load and unload transfer trucks safely and efficiently.Valid driver’s license (if required for truck operation).Nice To HavesPreferred Skills & Attributes:Strong attention to detail and organization.Dependable, punctual, and a team player.Clear communication skills.Basic inventory or warehouse management experience is a plus.BenefitsRichardson Bike Mart has excellent benefits including -Health Insurance - including Dental and Vision.401 KHigher than typical industry payPaid VacationEmployee Rewards Program - earn rewards on discounted purchasesEducational OpportunitiesOther cool stuff we cant think of right now....
