Compensation & Benefits Compensation Salary Range: $28,000 – $80,000 per year (base + commission + tips) Sign-On Bonus: $500 Commission pay Tips (Cash Paid Daily) Performance bonuses Referral program Paid time off (One week per year) Champ Health Insurance Plan Holiday Pay Perks Sundays Off Flexible scheduling Paid training Employee discounts Career growth and advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand preferences, lifestyle, and desired outcomes Recommend haircuts, styles, and color treatments based on face shape and hair type Perform haircutting, trimming, and shaving using professional tools and techniques Execute hair coloring services (e.g., highlights, balayage, ombré) Wash, condition, and treat hair using appropriate products Style hair for everyday looks and special occasions (e.g., braids, buns, formal styles) Apply conditioning and repair treatments (e.g., masks, oils, keratin treatments) Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation Manage appointments, bookings, and walk-in clients Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business Promote and cross-sell salon products and services Required Qualifications Valid Cosmetology License (Required) Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, or Colorist Proficiency in cutting techniques for short and long hair Experience with heat styling tools (flat irons, curling irons, etc.) Strong knowledge of hair coloring techniques and trends Familiarity with hair treatments (e.g., keratin smoothing, deep conditioning) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to stand for extended periods Flexible availability, including weekends as needed Preferred Skills Up-to-date knowledge of current hair trends and styles Strong client retention and relationship-building skills Sales mindset with ability to recommend retail products
