Nurse Technician/Unit Secretary - Acute Care

The Nurse Tech/Unit Secretary supports patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Physician.They provide direct care, assist with patient transport, monitor specific patient populations, and reinforce patient education.Responsibilities include effective communication within the care team, accurate documentation, transcribing physician orders, preparing transfer paperwork, managing supplies, and maintaining organized records.They facilitate communication with patients and families, participate in quality improvement activities, and perform clerical duties using computer systems.Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant certification, BLS certification within 30 days, and excellent interpersonal skills.Pay ranges from $17.60 to $28.15 per hour.
