Warehouse Operator

Warehouse Operators are the heart of our distribution centers and are responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing in and outbound shipments as well as assisting in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Operate heavy equipment to move or store inventory Receive and process incoming materials and packages Sort, organize, and store inventory in the proper location Accurately pick and fill customer orders from stock Move inventory throughout the facility Prepare products for delivery (freight, UPS, FedEx) Package items and ensure they’re labeled correctly Report damaged or missing inventory Data entry tasks that must be done in a timely and accurate manner Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory as needed Provides backup to Warehouse Manager when needed Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures Maintain a clean, safe environment Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Previous experience (3+ years) in a warehouse environment Hazardous material handling experience preferred Logistics & Supply Chain experience preferred Familiarity with inventory software and able to enter data in an accurate, timely manner Functional knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Word required Demonstrated teamwork, productivity, accuracy, dedication, and professionalism Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems Valid driver’s license Tow motor certification required Self-motivated, independent, flexible, creative, and responsible Strong calculation, organizational, and problem-solving skills Must be very detail oriented and meticulous in how work is performed Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization Self‐motivated, high energy, and engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook Act legally and ethically in all professional relationships in adherence with Barentz’ purpose, strategies, and values
