Game UI Designer
The Game UI Designer contract role focuses on designing intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces for games and interactive experiences. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves creating UI layouts, wireframes, and mockups; collaborating with game designers, artists, and developers to refine user flows; and ensuring UI elements support gameplay clarity and accessibility. The Game UI Designer will translate design requirements into coherent visual systems, prepare assets for implementation, and iterate based on playtesting feedback and user experience insights. This is a remote contract position, requiring reliable communication, strong self-management, and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.QualificationsStrong Visual Design and User Interface Design skills for games and interactive media.Ability to create detailed UI Mockups, wireframes, and layout concepts.Understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, including user flows, information hierarchy, and accessibility.Basic to intermediate Front-End Development or implementation awareness to collaborate effectively with engineers.Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).Experience designing UI for mobile games, interactive applications, or playful digital experiences.Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote, cross-disciplinary teams.Ability to iterate quickly based on feedback, playtesting, and data-driven insights.Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work for games or interactive projects.Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal) and their UI systems is a plus.
