Check Weigher (Seasonal)

Shift: various start times-various end timesHourly Rate: $16.75 an hour + $0.25 afternoon shift shift differentialThis is a new position at Conagra's, Imlay City, Michigan facility. There are two new positions available. Requiring a day shift operator and an afternoon shift operator. The hourly rate is $17.34/hour along with afternoon shift premium of $0.25/hour if applicable. This is an immediate need. You will be trained in the correct operation of the equipment. You will work onsite and you will report to supervision working within a team environment.DUTIES:The Check Weigher Operator is responsible for the proper operation of the Check Weigher.  The operator will oversee and ensure that the jars are filled properly.  The Check Weigher operator will be required to maintain calibration of the equipment and monitor jar weights, removing and repairing jars with that fall outside of the weight parameters as necessary, and communicating to appropriate personnel.RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow written and verbal instructions.Operate the Check Weigher equipment.Monitor and react promptly to jar weights, communicating product that fail specification.Remove or add produce to jars.Adhere to OSHA required/company specific lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.Adapt to changing situations and be able to establish priorities.Communicate effectively and work closely with all functions.Train employees as needed.Complete all paperwork in a neat and orderly fashion.Must be dependable, self-motivated, and maintain an acceptable attendance record.Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.  Understand Vlasic policies and procedures.Other duties may be assigned.Anticipated Close Date: April 10, 2026Location: Imlay City, MichiganOur BenefitsWe care about your total well-being and will support you with the following, subject to your location and role:Health: Medical, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life, accident and disability insuranceWealth: Great pay, 401(k)/pension eligibility, financial wellness programs and stock purchase planGrowth: Career development opportunities, employee resource groups and team collaborationBalance: Paid-time off and volunteer opportunitiesOur CompanyAt Conagra Brands, we have a rich heritage of making great food.
