At LiveOnNY, you'll grow professionally while helping others live on.The Senior Director Case Development serves as the senior leader responsible for enterprise-wide case development, regulatory compliance, donor management oversight, clinical and contact center workforce effectiveness. This role ensures alignment throughout case development including call center efficiency and accuracy, proper potential donor review and triage, clinical practice standards, donor optimization strategies, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory adherence across all case development operations. The Senior Director provides direct leadership to the Directors and Managers for case development, while serving as an integral member of the senior management team. The Senior Director maintains the ability to perform the essential duties of the Director and Clinical Manager as needed. The Senior Director supports and fosters the mission, vision, and core values of LiveOnNY and its commitment to organ and tissue donation.All services performed in this role must be conducted in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and oversight requirements, including but not limited to CMS Conditions for Coverage, the New York State Anatomical Gift Act (NYS AGA), FDA requirements, OPTN policies, UNet allocation processes, and all applicable LiveOnNY (LVNY) policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and directives.The Senior Director must maintain a residence within LiveOnNY's designated service area and maintain readiness to travel to assigned donor hospitals in a timely manner, including immediate response upon assignment or reassignment.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Oversight of evaluation and triage of potential donor referrals and related calls from donor hospitals.Oversight of donation suitability determinationsMonitoring enterprise clinical trends and organ yield performanceEnsuring collection and submission of required clinical data to regulatory agenciesIdentifying systemic case development performance gaps and implementing corrective actionsEnsuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance across case development operations.ENTERPRISE CLINICAL ACCOUNTABILITYThe Senior Director is directly accountable for:Enterprise-wide case development (contact center and donation coordination) performance and outcomesAdherence to CMS Conditions for Coverage, OPTN/UNOS policies, AOPO standards, and all applicable regulatory requirementsConsistency and reliability of clinical practice standards across all casesMaximization of donor potential while maintaining the highest ethical standardsAccurate and complete contact center and clinical documentation and reporting CLINICAL WORKFORCE LEADERSHIP AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENTThe Senior Director is accountable for:Direct supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation of Directors and Managers for case development.Establishing competency standards and capability continuaEnsuring appropriate contact center and field coverage/staffing schedulesSupporting professional development and continuing education initiativesHiring, promotion, disciplinary action, and termination decisions consistent with organizational policy. PROCESS OWNERSHIP AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT - ENTERPRISE LEVELThe Senior Director holds enterprise accountability for:Development and maintenance of case development procedures and policiesContinuous process improvement across the donation processCollaboration with Quality, Hospital Engagement Services, Family Engagement Services, Allocation and Placement, Surgical Recovery Services, and Data Analytics to evaluate trendsOversight of audits, investigations, and corrective action plansTranslation of findings from performance reviews into sustained operational improvementsEnsures all education and training is compliant with regulatory standardsThe Senior Director collaborates in defining annual quality improvement goals and monitoring departmental effectiveness measures. OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT The Senior Director supports operational readiness by:Providing leadership coverage in the absence of the VP- Case DevelopmentResponding to occurrences in accordance with organizational policyEnsuring timely investigation and follow-up of events.The Senior Director is accountable for ensuring coverage structures function effectively and that case-level risks are addressed promptly. STRATEGIC EXECUTION AND CROSS-DEPARTMENT COLLABORATIONThe Senior Director is responsible for:Participating as an active member of the senior leadership teamAssisting in establishing organizational and departmental goals and objectivesCollaborating with Hospital Services to strengthen hospital relationships and timely donor referralInteracting with transplant surgeons, physicians, and transplant centers to maintain high service standardsActing as a spokesperson for the advancement of organ donation. QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Nursing, Biology, or Medical Sciences requiredMaster's degree preferredMinimum five to seven years managerial experience.Minimum three years critical care experience required.Experience working with regulatory agencies required.Current CPTC certification preferred.Knowledge and SkillsExtensive knowledge of critical care.Understanding of quality improvement principlesStrong leadership, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to analyze scientific, technical, financial, and regulatory materialsAbility to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusionsStrong decision-making, delegation, and problem-solving skillsComputer proficiency and operational systems literacy.
