CNC Operator/Machinist

The CNC Operator/Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading blueprints, loading materials, selecting and installing tooling, performing basic programming or adjustments at the machine control, and running test parts to verify conformance. The role also involves performing routine inspections, documenting measurements, and making necessary machine offsets or corrections to maintain part quality. The CNC Operator/Machinist will perform basic machine maintenance, follow all safety protocols, and collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.QualificationsProficiency in CNC Machine Operation, including setup, safe operation, and basic troubleshooting of machinery.Hands-on experience in Machining and Milling, with the ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.Strong Quality Control skills, including use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and documentation of inspection results.General understanding of industrial Machinery, routine maintenance practices, and shop safety standards.Previous experience as a CNC operator or machinist in a manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work with manual and powered shop tools.Solid math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.Knowledge of GDNT is preferred
