Ayuda is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing direct legal, social and language access services, education, and outreach to low-income immigrants in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1973, Ayuda has provided critical services on a wide range of issues, in the process acquiring nationally recognized expertise in several fields including immigration law, language access, domestic violence and human trafficking. Ayuda has office locations in Washington, DC, Silver Spring, MD and Fairfax, VA.

WHAT WILL THIS JOB ENTAIL?
Technology & Equipment
Take the lead on responding to requests to Operations team; track requests and tickets through Monday.com.
Lead equipment and software license tracking.
Coordinate and install new tech hardware when it arrives at the office.
Coordinate with IT provider to set up new computers and computers; receive and test the set-up and ensure new employees are able to log on and use them.
Set up new employee accounts.
Support Data Team with case management software.
Support Operations Manager with staff trainings on Ayuda software.
Facilities and Maintenance
Oversee and support special operations projects in our D.C., Silver Spring, and Fairfax offices.
Receive incoming postal mail for Admin Headquarters.
Support space planning needs, including project management support for office moves and vendor/cost analysis for vendors needed to set up and maintain offices.
Support intake specialists with any issues that come up with Ayuda’s physical office spaces.
Purchasing/Vendors/Financial Reconciliation
Procurement process: Review existing vendors annually and find new vendors as needed.
Manage Operations credit card: purchase office supplies and other necessary items, maintain receipts and disbursement forms, reconcile credit card each month.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU CAN DO THIS JOB?
Eligibility: Must be legally able to work in the United States and maintain proper work authorization throughout employment.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position presented in a general office environment. Satisfactory results from a background check to include criminal history and a search of the employee’s name against a national registry of sex offenders.
While the position includes virtual workdays, the Operations Associate will be required to travel to our three office locations within the DMV area on designated days each month, all of which are accessible by public transportation.

Education/Experience/Skills:
Required:
High School diploma or GED
2+ years of related experience
Experience in IT support, office management, and/or facilities maintenance
Strong problem-solving skills and a penchant for using them
Exceptionally organized
Strong communicator who asks great questions
Works well with people of all backgrounds, personalities and work styles
Sound judgment, particularly around technology matters such as confidentiality and security
Ability to communicate with kindness, flexibility, and good humor
Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel on an ongoing basis
Strong customer service skills
Highly developed interpersonal and customer relationship management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Prowess for troubleshooting simple IT questions; strong googling skills
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The anticipated salary for this position is $54,600 - $62,000 depending on experience.

This position is non-exempt for overtime purposes.
