The therapist will perform treatment simulations, fabricate necessary shielding blocks, and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR). This role involves preparing equipment for patient treatments, performing quality control and assurance tests, ensuring proper infection control techniques, and adhering to optimal radiation safety and protection practices. ResponsibilitiesAdminister radiation therapy treatments effectively and safely.Conduct treatment simulations and develop appropriate shielding blocks.Maintain accurate and up-to-date EMR.Prepare and calibrate equipment for radiation therapy.Perform quality control and assurance tests.Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.Collaborate with medical staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 2 years of radiation therapist experience.ARRT (T) certification required.1 year of travel experience or work experience with Varian and ARIA required.Experience with TrueBeam and Trilogy is preferred.BLS (AHA) certification required.Schedule This position offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek, with shifts currently scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for 4/10 hour shifts in the future.
