Assembler I Or II3rd shift 11:30pm- 6:30am (Sunday -Thursday)$16.00 - $18 DOESt PetersburgThis position is responsible for producing products and components by assembling parts and sub assemblies. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and/or visual factory.Assembler will primarily be responsible for assembly of basic copper or fiber products.Essential FunctionsAssembles parts according to work instruction, verbal instruction, drawings, and/or diagramsReads, understands and navigates through assembly process documents to assemble productPositions parts and sub assemblies by using templates or reading measurementsAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts & sub assembliesMonitors and reports regarding product quality and equipment findings to ensure production and quality standardsMeasures cable length per customer specificationsDocuments actions by completing production and quality formsExecutes assembly sequence duties consistently meeting productivity and quality expectationsMeets all departmental productivity targetsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules & regulationsPrepares, operates and cleans production equipment as appropriate for the successful completion of cable assemblyAll applicants must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.General math skills, able to count and measureAbility to comprehend written and verbal instructionsAble to take direction and follow assembly operations and wire listsDemonstrate proficiency in OJT processSkills and AbilitiesAccurate visual acuity for color and depth perceptionVision sufficient to accurately measure in fractions of an inchManual dexterity to handle small hand toolsRead and understand basic assembly instructionsComprehend written and verbal assignmentsAbility to work as a team member in a diverse work environmentLift and carry 40lbs (with assistance if needed)Intermittent sitting, standing, and walkingMinimum to moderate noise levelBench work requiring bending, leaning, and extended seatingFast paced schedule conscious work environmentSalary$16-$18 per hour DOE
