Warehouse Material Handler

Duties Load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety standards. Operate cranes and other mechanical tools to move large or heavy materials efficiently within the warehouse. Conduct order picking with RF scanners and pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are correctly documented and stored. Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring materials are properly labeled, stored safely, and accessible for quick retrieval. Support warehouse distribution activities by load & unload operations, ensuring timely delivery schedules are met. Follow OSHA guidelines and safety protocols during all handling activities to promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall workflow efficiency. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update records, and manage stock movements effectively. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is highly preferred. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is essential. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards set by OSHA or similar organizations is required. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment operation in construction or industrial settings is advantageous. Experience with shipping & receiving processes and inventory management systems will help ensure smooth operations. Previous roles involving order picking using RF scanners or other digital tools demonstrate your ability to work efficiently in a modern warehouse environment. Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles are a plus, showcasing your ability to oversee operations and mentor team members.
