Global Sourcing Manufacturing experience Strong leader The Director of Supply Chain plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company’s supply chain runs smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. By optimizing planning processes and maintaining high standards, they contribute significantly to the company’s success in the marketplace. This role will oversee all supply chain operations in North America and provide support to international facilities. The Director of Supply Chain reports to the Senior Vice President – Engineering, Supply Chain & Quality and is a member of Flexfab’s Management Team. KEY FUNCTIONS: Will coordinate, organize, and oversee all activities relating to procurement, inventory management, material planning, and logistics to enhance supply chain efficiency within the organization. Lead the development and implementation of sound short and long term supply chain strategies designed to meet customer, sales, manufacturing, and general operational goals. Manage, develop, and foster supplier relationships to ensure a win/win relationship, competitive costing, reliable lead-times, and dependable quality. Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement within the department. Manages third party logistics providers for competitive pricing and reliable delivery of goods. Fosters a culture of leadership development, emphasizing accountability to meet customer demands and enhance leadership growth. Works with the Senior Vice President – Engineering, Supply Chain & Quality to monitor all key supply chain metrics (KPI’s) to ensure key targets are being attained, including Cost Reduction, On Time Delivery, and Inventory Turns. Collaborates closely with Sales, Engineering, and Quality on new business opportunities, new products, and material substitutions to meet cost, quality, and delivery expectations. Partners with Vice President – International Operations to ensure supply chain strategies at the global level support the organization’s global supply chain goals. RESPONSIBLITIES: Serves as a role model for work ethic, behavioral conduct, professional image, training and behavior, and quality standards in full compliance with all work rules and policies. Evaluates results of planned objectives, and take appropriate action to rectify deficiencies Drives innovative ideas, solutions, and business processes through leadership and decisive action to push an ambitious yet attainable strategy for growth Participate in Flexfab’s talent planning & acquisition process and take ownership for developing internal talent Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Senior Leadership Team as well as staff during Company-wide meetings. Attends customer and supplier-facing meetings and events as needed or requested to ensure Flexfab retains loyal customers. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in supply chain management. Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President – Engineering, Supply Chain & Quality FORMAL KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or another related field. (Master’s degree is preferred). 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in a Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent field. Experience in negotiations, developing terms and conditions, and writing contracts. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, tailoring messages to suit all audiences. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring that presentations, reports, and discussions are appropriate for the target audience’s level of understanding. Demonstrated experience setting, monitoring and meeting quarterly and annual goals. Experience building and scaling teams and systems. Excellent project management skills to manage complex processes to bring new products to market from development to production. Proven ability to establish a high performing manufacturing team; evaluating and reconfiguring as necessary to create a maintainable and collaborative group Knowledge of ERP and related systems. Knowledge of silicone, fabrics, and foam markets is beneficial.
