This role will lead a team responsible for building and enhancing critical technology capabilities that support accommodations management workflows.The ideal candidate is a technical leader who stays close to the code while also coaching engineers, driving delivery, and ensuring strong engineering practices. You will contribute to architecture and development using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS cloud services, while partnering with product, architecture, security, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop an engineering teamManage, mentor, and support a team of 5 to 8 engineersFoster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementProvide regular coaching, feedback, and career development supportSupport team health, engagement, and performance management processesDrive hands-on technical leadership and deliveryContribute directly to system design and hands-on developmentBuild and enhance applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS servicesLead end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities from design through deployment and production supportEnsure systems are scalable, secure, resilient, maintainable, and observableEstablish and reinforce modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and code quality standardsPartner with architecture, security, compliance, and other technical teams to align on technical directionSupport the thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities where appropriateSupport cross-functional alignmentPartner with product owners to translate business needs into clear technical plansManage dependencies across teams, services, and systemsCommunicate progress, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholdersContribute to roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution strategyRequired Qualifications6 to 8 or more years of software engineering experience2 or more years of experience managing engineering teamsStrong hands-on development experience with TypeScript and JavaScriptExperience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably ReactExperience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWSStrong Node.js experienceProven ability to contribute to system design and architecture while remaining hands-on with codingStrong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architecturesExperience with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure developmentDemonstrated ability to lead teams through complex, cross-functional delivery initiativesStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical audiencesThoughtful, proactive leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and team engagementPreferred QualificationsExperience with workflow-driven, case management, decisioning, or compliance-sensitive systemsExposure to AI, machine learning, or data-driven product capabilitiesExperience working with platform-based architectures or shared services ecosystemsFamiliarity with security and regulatory considerations related to sensitive user dataPay Rate Range: $60-$75 per hr (Depending on Experience)nextSource is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
