A Sea of Solutions…..One Supplier.For more information, visit our website at www.teledynemarine.com.This position is responsible for assembling electrical and fiber optic jumper and cable assemblies utilizing various mechanical and hand tools.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMeasure, cut, prepare rubber hose, cable, wire for terminationPull wire through hose ID and any attached hardware prior to solderingTerminate hose and cable assemblies with machined hardware per procedureStretch jumper assemblies utilizing a forklift and load meterAccurately report labor hours for each orderAbility to troubleshoot issues with little to no engineering supportMaintaining security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration controlNotify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and router to the support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering).Responsible for completing documentation accurately and timelyResponsible for entering data into the IFS system accurately and timelyResponsible for maintaining high quality standards and workmanshipMaintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the companyCommunicating special tooling needed to perform operation that may have not been identifiedAdhere to all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environmentEducation And ExperienceHS Diploma or GEDTwo year technical degree preferred Recent experience in a mechanical, electrical or production trade Recent experience in a manufacturing environmentJob Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work safely with minimal or no direct supervisionAbility to accurately read a tape measureAbility to work outside for several hours during various weather conditionsAbility to stand for several hoursAbility to use hands in a continuous motion for several minutes at a timeAbility to work with changing demands in a fast paced environmentAbility to work from verbal directionsCommon sense approach to troubleshootingAbility to learn rapidly in an engineer to order production facilityExcellent communication skills with both internal and external customersAbility to use mechanical and pneumatic tools required to assemble Teledyne specific productAble to read technical drawings and electrical schematics, specifications and proceduresComputer Literate Working knowledge of MS Office programs, i.e., Word, Excel, OutlookAbility to take constructive feedback from peers, leads and / or managersGood shop math skillsDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).What can Teledyne offer YOU?A Competitive Salary & Benefits PackageExcellent Health, Dental, VisionPaid Vacation TimePaid Sick TimeLife Insurance BenefitsPaid Holidays401(k) EligibilityEmployee Stock Purchase PlanFitness ChallengesEducational Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Fun Events throughout the yearTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
