TITLE: Sr Director of Quality & Compliance TYPE: Direct Hire LOCATION: Monroe Township, NJ ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite We are looking for a Sr Director of Quality & Compliance. The Senior Director of Quality & Compliance is responsible for ensuring that all products meet rigorous standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role provides organizational leadership over quality assurance, quality control, and compliance activities across all manufacturing operations. It requires deep expertise in food safety systems such as HACCP, FDA, USDA, SQF, and GFSI. The Senior Director will lead continuous improvement efforts, strengthen accountability, and act as the primary liaison with regulators, certification bodies, and auditors ensuring products are consistently safe, compliant, and of the highest quality. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and develop quality teams, promoting professional growth and a strong culture of compliance. Design and implement the organization's Quality & Compliance strategy across all facilities. Oversee QA/QC processes covering raw materials, in-process testing, finished product release, and packaging. Manage audit and inspection programs, serving as the lead representative during third-party reviews. Partner with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Procurement to maintain high standards throughout the product lifecycle. Establish and monitor KPIs to track compliance and quality performance. Lead quality and food safety meetings, ensuring best practices in GMP, sanitation, and system execution. Direct corrective and preventive action programs, root cause analysis, and ongoing improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to all applicable food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, SQF, GFSI, HACCP, GMP, and FSMA. Stay current with evolving regulations and industry standards, proactively updating programs as needed. Collaborate with production on SOPs, work instructions, and corrective actions. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline. 12+ years of progressive leadership in Quality, Food Safety, and Compliance within food manufacturing or another regulated sector. Effective communicator and leader, skilled at driving organizational alignment around quality and compliance. Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and SQF standards. Experience leading large, multi-site quality and compliance teams. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability..
