Job Description About the RoleWe are looking for a results-driven Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at our L&L Hawaiian BBQ location in Carlsbad. This role is focused on driving sales, controlling costs, maintaining high food quality, and leading a strong team.The ideal candidate is someone who understands restaurant operations deeply and can run the store independently with strong systems, accountability, and leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee daily store operations (opening, peak hours, closing)Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet brand standardsMaintain cleanliness and organization across kitchen, dining, and restroom areasEnforce food safety and health department complianceTeam LeadershipTrain, coach, and supervise staff (cashiers, line cooks, prep)Create weekly schedules based on sales volume and labor targetsMaintain team accountability through SOPs, checklists, and performance trackingHandle employee issues, attendance, and disciplinary actions when neededFinancial PerformanceManage labor cost (target 22%–28%)Control food cost through portioning, inventory, and waste reductionTrack daily sales, upselling performance, and average ticket sizeExecute strategies to increase revenue (combos, catering, promotions)Inventory & SupplyManage ordering for food, packaging, and suppliesMonitor inventory levels and prevent over-ordering or shortagesEnsure proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and waste controlCustomer ExperienceHandle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues quicklyMaintain a positive and welcoming environmentEnsure fast service and smooth order flow during peak hoursQualifications2+ years experience as a restaurant manager or assistant managerStrong leadership and team management skillsKnowledge of food cost, labor cost, and restaurant KPIsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAvailability to work weekends and holidaysWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who can take ownership of the storeDetail-oriented and system-driven mindsetStrong discipline in execution (not just ideas)Ability to manage both people and numbersCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryMonthly performance bonus (based on sales, labor, and food cost targets)Growth opportunities within multiple locationsSupportive ownership with structured systems in placeWork Location: In person
