Survey CAD Technician

Headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia, we serve clients throughout the Commonwealth and beyondWe are seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support a variety of survey projects through detailed computations and drafting work. This role works closely with project managers to deliver accurate plans on time and within budget, while contributing to team knowledge through ongoing training and collaboration. The ideal candidate has hands-on AutoCAD experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesComputation of house stakeouts, wall checks, final surveys, house location surveys and assist in the preparation of as built surveys, subdivision layouts, record plats, easements plats, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, data compilation, hardcopy, and other miscellaneous survey computationsWork with project manager to complete all projects on time and within budgetParticipation in AutoCAD user group within company and in other relevant continuing education groups/committeesOther duties may be assignedSkills, Knowledge, ExpertiseMinimum of 1-2 years of practical survey computer experience utilizing AutoCad.Must possess ability to utilize project information and CAD knowledge to complete a variety of complex survey computing assignments and other survey office duties.Possess quality and focused skills in problem solving, analytical and critical thinking as well as having interpersonal and people skills necessary to work in a team environmentAble to multi-task and prioritize workBenefits8 Paid Holidays15 days of PTOComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage including a no cost employee medical optionHSA and FSA plans availableEmployer paid Short Term, Long Term, Life and AD&D Insurance plans401k plan with up to 5% matchContinuing education and certifications providedAnd many more great benefits including numerous sponsored company eventsLegacy Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
