Site Buyer/Administrative AssistantPerform assigned purchasing activities within AptarGroup for raw materials, supplies, and/or corporate/facilities support functions. Act as a central point of contact for specific procurement items/activities and support internal client and supply base requirement.Job Elements & Position ResponsibilitiesPurchasingManage day-to-day purchasing functions within assigned siteInterface with other functional groups within site to ensure adequate understanding of needs and proper allocation of purchasing resourcesAssure supplier adherence to Aptar PO terms/conditions and quality standardsIdentify qualified sources of supply and facilitate the vendor setup process on behalf of siteLead negotiation efforts on new purchase agreements and new supplier contracts, focusing on quality, delivery, cost containment, payment terms, lead-time, and process improvementsNegotiate major purchases and agreements for site(s) as assigned by Purchasing Manager or Site DirectorPrepare and generate project budget, objectives, and reporting in support of site objectivesFoster continuous improvement in the purchasing processEstablish and consistently meet cost/waste reduction targets for assigned commodities or servicesInteract with Aptar Purchasing personnel from various regions as assigned to coordinate and leverage total spend for goods or services purchasedReview purchase requisitions for necessary approvals ensuring compliance to policies, issue purchase orders, assure supplier adherence to terms and conditions, and foster continuous improvementConvert electronic purchase requisitions into purchase orders through SAPIssue purchase orders to suppliersAggressively pursue excellence and professionalism in all supplier relationshipsIdentify process enhancement and savings opportunities in support of specific procurement objectivesFront Desk & ReceptionGreet employees, visitors, clients, and contractors with a friendly, professional, and welcoming presenceAnswer and route incoming phone calls or inquiries with courtesy and efficiencyManage visitor check-in procedures and maintain a welcoming front-office environmentHandle general inquiries and provide accurate information or direct requests appropriatelySupport a seamless and positive first impression for all customers and guestsAdministrative SupportProvide administrative assistance to leadership and cross-functional teamsManage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference roomsCollect mail and correspondence and distribute accordinglyOrder, stock and manage office and breakroom supplies ensuring all areas remain organized and fully replenishedPrepare and set up beverages, snacks, and other hospitality items for visitors, candidates, and Aptar executives to ensure a welcoming and professional environmentAssist Human Resources in the planning, setting up and clean up activities for employee events and activitiesWork closely with the Site Director to support day-to-day operational needs, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating site activitiesPerform other related duties as assigned, including clerical tasks for site director and personnelRequired QualificationsEducation: Minimum of a bachelor's degree: BS/BBAExperience: 3 – 5 years of related purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
