OverviewD424 Audit & Assessment is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent quality oversight of the Construction Support Functional Area at Electric Boat.Construction Support includes the major areas of the business that provide the infrastructure, facilities, and services needed to continue building and maintaining the world's most advanced submarines. This includes areas like Facilities, Lifting and Handling, Fire Prevention, Business Continuity, Security, and others.Do you enjoy analyzing systems and processes? Do you have an eye for quality? This role is ideal for the critical thinker who thrives on conducting fieldwork, interpreting complex data, and helping drive continuous improvement across a dynamic environment.Key responsibilities include:Conduct independent audits, assessments, and surveillances across a variety of shipyard operationsCollect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to identify performance trends and systemic issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to observe work practices and verify compliance with procedures, standards, and policiesMonitor progress of corrective actionsContribute to regular program reports, dashboards, and assessmentsQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GED3+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Lifting and Handling, Fire Prevention, Business Continuity, Security, Quality Assurance, and/or audit oversightExperience interfacing with cross-disciplinary teams (Operations, Engineering, Quality) to assess program performance and identify technical deficienciesPreferred:Advanced degree or professional certificationExperience at Electric Boat Facilities, Lifting and Handling, Fire Prevention, Business Continuity, and/or Security experienceUnderstanding of EB operations work tracking systems and processesSkillsWorking knowledge of Electric Boat Facilities, Lifting and Handling, Fire Prevention, Business Continuity, Security, and compliance with technical requirements (e.g., NAVSEA requirements, supplier contracts, specifications, etc.)Ability to perform detailed audits and surveillances of technical work with clear documentation of findings and recommendationsExcellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skillsStrong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess root causes, and recommend improvementsProficiency with technical writingProficiency with technical documentation and reporting tools, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Physical QualificationsClimbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, StoopingEnvironmental AttributesCold, Dry, Hot, Inside, Noise, Outside, Wet
