Late applications will not be accepted.Job Description JOB OVERVIEW The Target Hiring Range for this position is: $143,516-$189,558The U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA) / Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization seeks a highly experienced Technology Solutions Architect specializing in ServiceNow’s Security modules. This role is critical in designing and implementing secure, scalable solutions tailored to the unique needs of the U.S. Senate. The selected candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to architect ServiceNow security frameworks, ensure compliance with regulations, and enhance the organization's overall security posture.Responsibilities:The Administrative Systems team relies on the Technical Solutions Architect to deliver solutions and support for multiple specialized applications within ServiceNow, particularly in designing robust security frameworks. This role requires extensive ServiceNow platform knowledge and strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Architectural Design: Lead the design and development of secure solutions within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirementsPlatform Development: Oversee configuration of ServiceNow applications, including workflows, user interfaces, integrations, and scripts.Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and solution design are followed.Integration Management: Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with SAA/CIO security and other teams to gather requirements and translate them into secure, efficient solutions.Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of ServiceNow applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and responsiveness.Project Management: Lead projects from conception to post-implementation review, ensuring on-time delivery. ServiceNow Security Modules Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in ServiceNow Security modules, including Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), and Threat Intelligence.Governance & Compliance: Enforce governance frameworks and coding standards to ensure federal security regulations (e.g., FISMA, NIST) compliance.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in security processes and architectures.Troubleshooting and Support: Resolve technical issues and provide advanced ServiceNow support.Documentation and Training: Develop technical documentation and train teams on ServiceNow best practices.Key Accountabilities/Essential Job DutiesActs as a senior team leader responsible for structuring complex solutions and delivering IT services. Provides technical guidance and architectural recommendations for designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure applications, systems, and services. Provides long-range strategic planning activities for the Senate in the areas of modern IT systems and services. Monitors the impact of technological developments; identifies emerging technologies and scopes potential Senate utility. Leads product evaluations and technical studies and task forces; directs pilot testing programs; analyzes new technology for its impact on the Senate environment; tests new releases on Senate supported platforms; develops product configuration standards for use in the Senate environment; recommends strategic direction for the Senate. Creates and reviews system architectures; analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will be effectively integrated with current applications. Acts as a technical leader and mentor to implementation teams and collaborate across the organization to provide leadership and guidance on technical solutions; Collaborates across organizations in the creation of valuable technology solutions. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Required EducationBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Other Duties/ ResponsibilitiesDevelop proof of concept applications to validate proposed solutions.Continuously review and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions and propose changes as needed. Federal Security Standards: Familiarity with federal security regulations such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP.Development Tools: Proficiency with ServiceNow development tools, including Flow Designer, Service Portal, and scripting languages like JavaScript and GlideScript.Web Development: Working knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS for ServiceNow development. Cloud & Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) principles.Performance Optimization: Proven ability to monitor and optimize ServiceNow applications for high availability and scalability.Database & System Design: Skilled in database design, system integration, and overall ServiceNow architecture optimization.Project Management: Lead technical projects within an Agile environment, managing the project lifecycle from conception to post-implementation review to ensure timely delivery.
