Assistant Store Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION180 the Store, a luxury retail/lifestyle store expanded and opened a second store in Amagansett and is seeking a person to fill the position of Assistant Store Manager for both the Tribeca and Hamptons locations. The Manager will possess in-depth knowledge and passion for the designers we represent, how a garment or product is produced, and for the luxury market. They will need to have outstanding sales and management skills and extensive knowledge of the fashion industry. The Assistant Store Manager will manage and oversee all personnel, sales, develop and store clients, stock, inventory, and operational functions of the store. A key part of the Store Manager's role will be developing their team to ensure superior client service while maintaining the highest retail standards. MUST HAVE IN-DEPTH WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF SHOPIFY AND STRONG CUSTOMER RELATIONSRESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee and assist in hiring, training, evaluating, and managing store employees.Manage all updates and training related to the 180 the Store Handbook & company operational standards/ practices.Regularly analyze sales trends, monitor inventory, and achieve monthly sales goals.Ensure all operational policies and procedures are kept up to date.Develop a strategy to measure and ensure that all employees, new hires, and tenured employees are trained in these operations, policies, and procedures.Participate in weekly store meetings with sales staff and thorough product training seminars.Promote and monitor quality service among the sales team through training and acting as a positive role model.Develop and maintain a store client book.Ensure that the sales team receives appropriate customer service and engagement training.Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance and service.Motivate and develop sales staff to encourage their professional development.Identify and implement strategies to retain and develop existing and new clients.Manage and monitor stock levels to minimize discrepancies and ensure inventory is maintained at an optimum level to maximize sell-thru.Work with the local community and organizations to establish a strong network.
